Laser Hair Removal - Does it Hurt?

At Urbana we use a number of lasers for hair removal and always ensure that the level of discomfort to you is at a minimum. The level of discomfort normally depends on the skin type of the person getting treated and the hair density and colour. Please see below for a guide on what you should expect from your treatment.

Bikini Line - Laser Used - Soprano XL (Painless)

Hair Type: Course and Very Dense

Using the Soprano XL - The only pain free laser on the market today to treat all sensitive areas of the body including Bikini lines. This Laser is excellent for permanent body hair reduction that is virtually painless.

Underarm - Laser Used - Soprano XL (Painless)

Hair Type: Medium and Moderate Density

The Soprano XL ensures a pain free treatment in the underarm area and we can also combine this with the Cynosure Elite to treat even the finest of remaining hairs.

Legs - Laser Used - Soprano XL or Cynosure Elite

Hair Type: Medium and Moderate Density

We use both the Soprano XL and Cynosure Elite on all Leg treatments. Both lasers are used with additional cooling for this area and treatments are almost painless

Lip & Chin - Laser Used - Cynosure Elite

Hair Type: Light and Sparse

We use the Cynosure Elite on all facial laser treatments. The laser is used with additional cooling for this area and treatments are mildly uncomfortable (like a snap of an elastic band) due to the required high energies needed to permanently reduce the hair in this area.
