Laser Consultation

A consultation and patch test is without doubt the most important part of your treatment course. To make sure your bikini line hair is suitable for laser it should be assessed first. A patch test is crucial to ensure the safety of your skin.

What is a laser consultation?

Our consultations are more like a friendly chat than a very serious medical consultation.

Before starting you should be fully informed about laser so you know what to expect at every stage of your course. A dedicated hair removal consultant will meet with you to fully explain what’s involved in having your bikini line area treated.

We run through everything that’s needed before, during and after a course of bikini line laser to keep you on track. We put in place a personalised treatment plan based on your individual set of circumstances. We also discuss what what bikini style you would like and what your options are. It’s always nice to visit the salon before you start to get a feel for who we are and what we do.

Why do I need a consultation?

A consultation appointment is crucial to the success of your treatment course.

Your bikini hair colour and hair density will need to be checked before you start to make sure they are suitable. If these are not checked there is a chance that your hair may not be dark enough for treatment. If you start laser and your hair is not suitable you could be wasting your time and money.

In order to establish how many sessions you will need for laser hair removal we will need to see you for this assessment. Any underlying health/hormonal issues discussed so you fully understand how your results may vary. Due to these issues it’s important to give you realistic expectations so you know what to expect.

Every aspect of bikini line laser is explained in detail so you understand what’s involved.

How can our laser consultations benefit you?

Bikini line laser can seem a little daunting for some people. If you are having intimate areas treated it's important for you to know your safe in our hands.

If you have never experienced laser hair removal on the bikini area it’s normal to feel a little nervous about it. There is no reason to be, we take laser at your pace and make sure you are at-ease every step of the way.  If you are choosing to have intimate areas of your body treated it’s always a good idea to make sure you’re comfortable before starting this process.

It’s reassuring when you come in to meet with first so you feel relaxed before you start.

Why is a patch test so important for the safety of your skin?

For the safety of your skin this must be performed before you start.

Laser can cause adverse reactions if the wrong setting is selected so it is vital that you have a patch test. A patch test allows us to configure a setting that is tailored to your skin and hair type. It also allows for a more effective setting to be used on your bikini line at the start of your treatment course. Starting laser hair removal without a patch test is extremely risky for your skin.  You will achieve better results by having a patch test before you start.

In addition to this a patch test allows you to feel the sensation of the laser on your bikini line before you start. As a result you are much more at-ease coming in for your first treatment as you know how laser feels.

How long does a laser consultation take?

Our consultations take approximately 30 minutes.

Our dedicated laser consultants will address any concerns you may have in this time. You’re free to ask as many questions as you need. We would always recommend writing down the most important ones before you come in. Chances are these may go out of your mind when you’re here so it’s always handy to have these prepared beforehand.

This way you get all the information you need before you start a course of bikini line laser.
